Onamac Industries Emergency SMS Alert Service Privacy Policy

1. Purpose
Onamac Industries (“Onamac,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides an Emergency SMS Alert Service to communicate urgent operational and safety information to employees who have voluntarily consented to receive text message notifications.
This Privacy Policy applies only to the Onamac Emergency SMS Alert Service.
2. Information We Collect
If you choose to participate in the Emergency SMS Alert Service, we may collect and maintain:
• Your name
• Your mobile phone number
• Your consent to receive emergency SMS notifications
• The date your consent was provided
• Your opt-out status, if applicable
• Delivery and messaging records necessary to administer the service
No additional personal information is collected for this service.
3. How Your Information Is Used
Your mobile phone number will be used solely to send emergency operational notifications, including but not limited to:
• Facility closures
• Power outages
• Severe weather notifications
• Evacuation instructions
• Workplace safety incidents
• Other urgent operational communications affecting employees
Your phone number will not be used for:
• Marketing
• Advertising
• Sales promotions
• Surveys
• Non-emergency announcements
4. Sharing of Information
Onamac does not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number for marketing purposes.
Your mobile phone number is shared only with service providers necessary to deliver SMS messages, including Twilio Inc., for the sole purpose of transmitting emergency notifications.
Mobile opt-in information and consent records will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law.
5. Data Security
Onamac implements reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect employee contact information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Access to Emergency SMS Alert records is limited to authorized Human Resources and Information Technology personnel who require access to administer the service.
6. Consent
Participation in the Emergency SMS Alert Service is voluntary.
Employees must provide affirmative consent before receiving automated emergency text messages.
Consent is not a condition of employment.
7. Opting Out
You may withdraw your consent at any time by:
• Replying STOP to any Emergency SMS message, or
• Contacting Human Resources.
After your opt-out request is processed, you will no longer receive Emergency SMS notifications unless you submit a new consent form.
8. Message Frequency
Emergency notifications are sent only when necessary.
Message frequency varies depending upon operational circumstances and emergency events.
9. Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier and service plan.
10. Record Retention
Onamac maintains employee consent records and related administrative records as required for operation of the Emergency SMS Alert Service and in accordance with company record retention practices.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Onamac may update this Privacy Policy as necessary to comply with applicable laws, carrier requirements, or operational changes.
The current version will be made available at the location referenced in the Emergency SMS Consent Form.
